Step inside a storybook-worthy medieval castle that’s filled with Disney Princesses, complete with soaring archways, glittering chandeliers, and tableside visits from the most regal visitors when you dine at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. This table-service restaurant is home to EPCOT’s Princess Storybook Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, and it’s a feast fit for kings and queens (and princes and princesses.)
Here, you and the family can dine on Norwegian-inspired dishes as well as familiar classics for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But what really makes Akershus a thrilling place to dine is the parade of princesses who’ll stop by to say hi, snap photos, sign autographs, and make your kids’ meal a very memorable occasion.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Location
You’ll find Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion in the World Showcase. It’s the first building on your right as you walk into the pavilion – right next to Frozen Ever After.
Since the restaurant is set in the Norway Pavilion, the dining room (or banquet hall) does feature some unique touches. Modeled after Akershus Fortress in Oslo, you’ll spot details like huge carved wood beams, soaring ceilings, and plenty of regal decor throughout.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Menu
Akershus serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and each meal offers character encounters with Disney Princesses like Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Tiana, and Mulan. The princesses do rotate, so you may not always see the same ones on different visits or during different mealtimes.
While the breakfast menu features pastries, eggs, waffles, and other morning favorites, the lunch and dinner menus (which are identical) offer meats, vegetables, and staples like macaroni and cheese. All dishes are served family style, so your table can share as much as you’d like – and this makes it easy for kids to pick and choose their favorites.

Disney Dining Plan
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall does accept the Disney Dining Plan, but only the Disney Dining Plan – not the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan.
Keep in mind that Akershus is different from most table-service restaurants on the plan. While it’ll cost you one table-service meal credit per person to enjoy breakfast here, lunch and dinner cost two table-service meal credits per person.
Advance Dining Reservations
Like other character dining experiences and all Disney World table-service restaurants, Akershus does offer advance dining reservations (ADRs). And you’re going to need one if you’d like to dine here!
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is one of the most in-demand dining reservations in all of Disney World. As a result, reservations get snapped up fast when they become available – and they are often difficult to get. You’ll want to be prepared to act when the 60-day booking window opens for your trip.
Can’t get an ADR? Keep trying ahead of your trip, because you never know when additional reservations might pop up.
Is Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Kid-Friendly?
Much like Cinderella’s Royal Table, Akershus is one very kid-friendly restaurant. Because it’s a character dining experience, little ones of all ages are expected and welcome – even if they might not be on their most royal behavior during the meal.
The entire experience is designed with kids in mind, from the food menu to the tableside visits from princesses (which makes it so parents don’t have to get up from their meals.) And since the restaurant is always filled with kids, you don’t need to worry if yours are a little grumpy, a little loud, or a little messy.
