Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is an island paradise located in the EPCOT Resort Area—and since the opening of the Disney Skyliner, it’s become one of the most convenient resorts in Walt Disney World.
With its colorful buildings, swaying palm trees, and beautiful white-sand beaches, this moderate resort exudes tropical charm and Caribbean spirit. Whether you’re a family seeking a fun-filled vacation, a couple looking for a romantic getaway, or a group of friends in search of adventure, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort offers something for everyone.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Location
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is located in the EPCOT Resort Area on the southern shore of Barefoot Bay, just west of World Drive, and east of Osceola Parkway. A huge perk of staying at this moderate resort is that it includes pathways connecting to the neighboring Disney’s Riviera Resort (a Disney Vacation Club resort).
It’s also the central hub of the Disney Skyliner, meaning you can ride an aerial gondola to any of the following destinations (through the 3 different Skyliner routes):
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- EPCOT (International Gateway, just outside Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort) and Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort features a range of rooms designed to meet the needs of every type of traveler. From Standard Rooms to Preferred Rooms, you can find the perfect accommodation for your vacation.
Guest room buildings are in 5 different sections of the resort:
- Trinadad
- Jamica
- Aruba
- Barbados
- Martinique
Each room is decorated in tropical colors and features Caribbean-inspired touches such as palm tree lamps and bamboo furniture. The rooms feature either two queen beds or one king bed, accommodating up to four guests – and many include a child-size pulldown bed as a fifth sleeper.
Along with a 32-inch flat-screen TV, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, safe, and hairdryer, you’ll also get free Wi-Fi throughout the resort.
One of the standout features of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is that many of the rooms are located in charming two-story island-style buildings. The buildings are nestled among the lush gardens and overlook the palm-lined sandy beaches of Barefoot Bay. The rooms on the first floor have patios, while the second-floor rooms have balconies where guests can sit outside and soak up the beautiful views.
Dining at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
The dining options at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort are as varied and delicious as the island-inspired decor. From casual bites and cocktails by the pool to sit-down meals featuring fresh seafood and Caribbean-inspired dishes, there’s something to satisfy every craving. The resort’s main restaurant, Old Port Royale, is a vibrant dining spot designed to resemble a bustling Caribbean open-air marketplace. Here, you can enjoy Caribbean-inspired dishes, such as jerk chicken and plantains, or opt for more traditional American fare. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a rotating menu that includes fresh fruit, cold cuts, and pastries.
Other dining options at the resort include Sebastian’s Bistro, which serves Caribbean seafood and steak in a charming and upscale setting. The Banana Cabana Pool Bar is the perfect place to sip on tropical cocktails while lounging by the pool, and Spyglass Grill offers quick bites for hungry guests on-the-go.
Pools and Amenities
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has a variety of amenities designed to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The resort features six themed pools, perfect for a refreshing swim and to soak up the Florida sunshine. One of the pools, Fuentes del Morro Pool, is located in the center of the resort, complete with two water slides. For fitness enthusiasts, there is a state-of-the-art Fitness Center as well as a jogging trail around the resort which is approximately 1.25 miles long. Outdoor activities like basketball, volleyball, and table tennis offer additional options to keep you active during your stay. One of the most unique features of Caribbean Beach Resort is the resort’s transportation.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing island paradise or an adventurous getaway, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has everything you need to make your vacation unforgettable. From its colorful rooms and island-inspired cuisine to its beautiful beaches and top-class facilities, this resort is a true gem in one of the best areas Walt Disney World has to offer. As if all that we’ve discussed so far hasn’t been convincing enough to strongly consider this resort to be your home away from home on your next WDW vacation, here’s my personal favorite perk of this resort:
An on-site, standalone Joffrey’s Coffee Company location! This outdoor Joffrey’s is located at the entrance to the Disney Skyliner hub and makes for the happiest coffee run on earth to start your mornings before hitting the parks.
With its outstanding location, luxurious amenities, and endless entertainment options, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has everything you need for an unforgettable Caribbean experience in the heart of Florida.
