Sitting between the Disney World Value Resorts and Disney World Deluxe Resorts in accommodations, amenities, and pricing are the Disney World Moderate Resorts. As the name suggests, these hotels cost more than the Value Resorts but less than the Deluxe level. They come with slightly more amenities, dining options, and bigger rooms.
Disney World Moderate Resort Hotels
There are five Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts. They are:
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort: Has a vibrant tropical theme inspired by the colorful islands of the Caribbean.
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort: Theming blends Spanish Colonial Mexico with the grandeur of the American Southwest.
- Gran Destino Tower: Part of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Resort, Gran Destino Tower is a 15-story tower with its own accommodations ad restaurants.
- DIsney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds: This resort offers a rustic, back-to-nature experience with its log cabins and campsites amidst pine and cypress forests.
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter: Themed to New Orleans’ historic French Quarter, complete with cobblestone streets and wrought-iron balconies.
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside: Themed to a rural Louisiana bayou, with stately mansions and quaint backwoods cottages.
About the Disney World Moderate Resort Rooms
Each of the Moderate Resort hotels offers standard rooms that can sleep up to four adults. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers cabins, which can sleep up to six people (with some even available to accommodate dogs). Campgrounds are available at Fort Wilderness. At Disney’s Coronado Springs, you can also stay at Gran Destino Tower, which offers a variety of different suites that you can stay in.

Disney World Moderate Resort Perks
Staying at a Disney World Moderate Resort will give you access to Early Theme Park Entry, meaning you will be able to enter any of the theme parks 30 minutes before their official opening time.
Moderate Resort Transportation
Moderate Resorts offer more transportation options, with the Disney Skyliner available to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Port Orleans Resorts both offer boat transportation to Disney Springs, though you will need to take a bus to any of the theme parks. And Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers a boat to Magic Kingdom.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort only offers bus transportation, which is something you will want to keep in mind when choosing.
