Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas: Full Resort Tour

by | Jun 6, 2024 | Traveling with Kids, Vacation Planning

A full room tour of a 2-bedroom villa option at Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas, located near Disney World in Orlando.

There are quite a few choices for hotels in Orlando when you’re visiting Walt Disney World or the other theme parks. As a parent to a (very messy and chaotic) toddler, my favorite type of accommodation is a villa, one where we can have home-like amenities and the ability to eat in, do our laundry, wash the dishes, or any of the other hundred plus things needed when traveling with kids. Recently I was given the opportunity to stay at one such option in the Orlando area, the Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas, which offers a host of different villa accommodations in a prime location near some of Orlando’s top attractions.

About Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas

Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas is part of The Marriott Vacation Clubs, a prestigious network of vacation ownership properties worldwide. Located on International Drive in Orlando, Florida, the destination offers 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom villas on a gorgeous property that features just about every amenity you can think of. The property is in a prime location just a few miles away from Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld.

With over 1,000 rooms on the property, the resort comes with on-site amenities such as pools, dining, playgrounds, a marketplace, recreational activities, and more. But, what makes the resort particularly special are the rooms, which are all full villas that feature home-away-from-home amenities that you’ll want on a vacation.

Room Types

At the Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas, there are a few different villa options for you to choose from. These include:

  • 1-Bedroom Smaller Villa (Includes a King Bed, Sofa bed, and Balcony)
  • 1-Bedroom Villa (Includes a King Bed, Sofa bed, Balcony, and Whirlpool Tub)
  • 2-Bedroom Villa (Includes two King Beds, two Sofa beds, Balcony, and Whirlpool Tub)
  • 3-Bedroom Villa (Includs three King Beds, three Sofa beds, Balcony, and Whirpool Tub)

There’s a variety of bed types you can get based on your room, with most offering an option combining King Beds, Queen Beds, Double Beds, and Sofa Beds. All come with a massive balcony, a whirlpool tub in the main bedroom (with the exception of the Smaller Villa, which does not have a whirlpool). For my stay, I was in a 2-Bedroom Villa along with my parents and daughter, and the accommodations provided more than enough room for all of us to have our own space and enjoy.

2-Bedroom Villa Room Tour

Want to see what a 2-Bedroom Villa looks like? Upon entering, you’ll see a full-size kitchen with every accommodation you could possibly need. You’ll get a microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, and more. Plus, there are kitchen tools such as a blender and toaster, along with a full set of dishware and utensils. Need to pick something up? There’s a conveniently located Marketplace where you can grab food, snacks, and any essentials you may need throughout your stay.

Living Area

Next to the kitchen, you’ll find a stacked washer and dryer, which is one of the biggest perks you can have in a room when you’re staying with kids. And for any of your trash needs, each floor of the building features a trash chute where you can take out trash throughout your vacation.

Heading further into the living area, you’ll find a dining table that seats six, as well as a pull-out sofa bed couch seated across from a flat-screen TV. Located through a sliding glass door was our balcony, which was easily one of my favorite parts of the room. This massive balcony had room for a full table and chairs. It also had its own fan, as well as a screen to keep out any bugs. It was a great place to grab a cup of coffee and sit in the morning, or even have a family meal outside!

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The main bedroom featured a King Bed, flat-screen TV, and en-suite bathroom with a massive Whirlpool tub, shower, double vanities, and toilet. The bathroom is sectioned off, so the toilet has its own separate door aside from the two separate vanities, shower, and tub.

The second bedroom had two double beds, making it a perfect spot for children or any other members of the family. Similar to the main bedroom, this had a flat-screen TV, closet space, and a door connecting it to a full bathroom. This one came with a combination shower and tub, as well as a massive vanity area with two sinks. In both bathrooms, there were amenities such as body wash, hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided, so you didn’t need to worry about bringing your own.

Dining Options

Looking to grab a bite to eat during your stay at the Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas? You have a few different spots where you can get some food!

  • Pirates Cove Pool Bar: Grab cocktails, drinks, and light bites poolside.
  • Breeze Bar and Grill: Grab breakfast, or a full-service lunch or dinner such as flatbreads, sandwiches, and wraps.
  • The Villages Marketplace: A deli and coffee bar, as well as a spot to grab all of your grocery needs during your stay.

Along with on-site dining, you have tons of options for restaurants nearby. Just a few miles away you’ll find Disney Springs, which offers a huge array of different restaurant options. Even closer than that, you can find local restaurants within a mile or two from the resort.

You’ll also want to be sure to pick up the activity guide upon check-in, as there are all kinds of incredible opportunities for kids and the whole family. This includes movie nights, arts and crafts, and even experiences you can take part in. For example, during our stay, there was a Gator Land experience where guests could take a look at exciting reptiles.

Additionally, we took part in Build-a-Buddy arts and crafts, where my daughter was able to pick out a stuffed animal she wanted to make, and then we could stuff it ourselves. She was even given the chance to create a t-shirt for her new pal, and was given an adoption certificate there. The experience came with a fee of $18, which was incredibly reasonable compared to similar experiences we’ve done.
