Do you like boats? All kinds of boats. Speed boats, sailboats, fishing boats, car boats, boat boats. If you like boats, and even if you don’t, the BOATHOUSE might just be the place for you to try out some really good food.
About The BOATHOUSE
This nautical-themed restaurant takes dining at Walt Disney World to a whole new level. From the raw bar to the beautiful water front view, the experience will tempt all of your senses. The defining feature is a full-sized speedboat right inside the restaurant. Boat parts and decorations are everywhere you look.
This dining experience comes from Schussler Creative, which is also responsible for Rainforest Café, T-Rex, and Yak & Yeti as well as other uniquely themed restaurants around the country. In addition to being a family-friendly restaurant, The BOATHOUSE has three diverse bars, including The Dock Bar, which is situated over the water.
Location
This upscale dining experience is located in Disney Springs in an expanse soon to be known as The Landing, which you may remember fondly as Pleasure Island. This area is undergoing major renovations and is expected to be completed in 2016 when it will be renamed Disney Springs.
The Amphicars
This might be the coolest thing that Disney has done in a long time. Amphicars. That’s right, cars that drive on water. Amphicars have been talked about for a long, long time. You see them in the old black-and-white movies. James Bond drives submarine cars. It’s romantic fantasy come true. What could be more romantic than sitting with your honey, driving your car right of the dock and into the water as the sun goes down?
The BOATHOUSE Menu
The BOATHOUSE is classified as an upscale restaurant and the prices certainly reflect that. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. The menu is the same at both sittings, prices too. As of June 2015, prices for Appetizers range from $12 – $19, Salads range from $8 – $23, entrée’s range from $ 19 – $60 (with a nice surf and turf for two running around $135).
The menu is simply mouth-watering.
