El Pirata Y El Perico is now Tortuga Tavern as Adventureland continues its transformation into Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired land. In the movies, the tavern is a grayish place where all kinds of unappealing-looking pirate types gather and drink.
This restaurant is a bit more refined and colorful but still retains the flavor of the movie dive. There are still broken chairs on the balcony. (Would you expect anything less.)
Tortuga Tavern
Yo, Ho, Yo, Ho … Come and eat in the place where Capt’n Jack recruits his ruddy crew. Grab a grog of ale, wait, this is the Magic Kingdom so no ale … Grab a burrito, and a coke and get ready to pillage and plunder. Who came up with this idea?

Magic Kingdom Dining
This is just one of the vastly upgraded restaurants in the Magic Kingdom. You can find a lot of good grub.
The Tavern in the Magic Kingdom may not exactly replicate the haunts of Captain Jack and his men, but it’s kinda cute and who knows, maybe now, this restaurant will be open. The old one never was. The decor is nice, the food, who knows?
