Virtual Queue

There are only two ways to currently ride TRON LIghtcycle / Run: a virtual queue or a Lightning Lane. For a virtual queue, you have two opportunities. The first is to join at 7 AM, which can be done from outside the resort (but requires you to have a Magic Kingdom park reservation). The second is at 1 PM, and must be done from within the park.

Queue

The queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run is a journey into the digital frontier, featuring sleek, futuristic design elements that immerse guests in the world of TRON. As you progress through the queue, you’ll encounter interactive displays and impressive visuals that set the stage for your lightcycle race. The queue culminates in a pre-show area where you receive instructions and prepare for the ride ahead. There is also a locker area for you to store all your belongings.

Accessibility

Most vehicles on TRON are motorbike-like Lightcycles, but there is also an accessible car at the end of some trains that is more like a regular coaster car.

Yes, there is an on-ride photo. The photo will be available for download on your My Disney Experience app if you have purchased Memory Maker.

Ride Tips

TRON Lightcycle / Run is one of the most popular attractions in Magic Kingdom, often experiencing long wait times. The only ways to expeirence are through virtual queue or a paid Lightning Lane. However, if you are attending an after hours event or Extended Evening Hours, you may have an easier time getting on the ride! The ride is especially stunning at night, with the neon lights enhancing the futuristic atmosphere, so if it works out that you can experience it at night, it’s well worth it.

Is TRON Lightcycle / Run Kid-Friendly?

TRON Lightcycle / Run is best suited for older kids, teens, and adults who enjoy intense thrills and futuristic themes. The height requirement and the ride’s high-speed nature may not be suitable for very young children. However, kids who meet the height requirement and love a fast-paced adventure will find this ride to be an exciting and memorable experience.

Does TRON Lightcycle / Run Cause Motion Sickness?

TRON Lightcycle / Run features rapid acceleration, sharp turns, and a high-speed race through the digital world, which can cause motion sickness for some guests.
