Hotels at Disneyland Resort
There are three hotels on Disney property at Disneyland Resort:
- Disneyland Hotel
- Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
- Pixar Place Hotel
All three of the hotels at Disneyland Resort are within walking distance to the theme parks and Downtown Disney District.
While Disneyland doesn’t group its hotels into Value, Moderate, and Deluxe categories like Walt Disney World’s resorts, each hotel does have its own price point and slew of amenities. Disney’s Grand Californian is the most luxurious of the bunch – it’s on par with a Disney World Deluxe resort, and it features the highest prices. Disneyland Hotel is a more Moderate option, both in price and room sizes. Lastly, Pixar Place is the Value hotel, with the lowest per-night prices and the most streamlined list of amenities.
Onsite at each hotel, you’ll find at least one pool plus a mix of quick-service and table service restaurants. Plus, there are plenty of perks included when you stay at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels. Guests who stay on-property enjoy extra magic like:
- Early Theme Park Entry
- Charge-to-Room dining and shopping across the resort
- Access to convenient theme park entry points
- Preferred access to hotel dining reservations
- Direct-to-Room Service for online check-in and digital keys
In addition to regular hotel rooms, two of Disneyland’s hotels also have Disney Vacation Club (DVC) sections. DVC resorts can offer more spacious room options as well as a wider selection of room types. Both the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Resort offer The Villas, which are dedicated areas within each resort that offer villa-style DVC rooms.
Disney Vacation Club rooms and vacation bookings offer the same perks as any other Disneyland Resort hotel stay, too.
Hotels Near Disneyland Resort
Not sure if you want to splurge on a stay at an on-property Disneyland Resort hotel? Well, we’ve got great news: There are hundreds of hotels nearby!
You have a wealth of choices when it comes to booking a hotel near Disneyland Resort. The streets surrounding the parks and resorts are packed with hotel options, which run the gamut from incredibly budget-friendly to luxurious and expensive. Plus, if you don’t mind a short drive to Disneyland Resort, there are even more hotels a few minutes away.
The most popular hotels near Disneyland Resort are those that are within walking distance. Harbor and Katella Boulevards are filled with hotels and motels that are just a few minutes’ walk from the entrance gates. Go just a block or two farther out, and there are even more hotels and motels that are still walkable and conveniently located.
This makes it incredibly easy to find a nearby hotel within your budget. Sure, off-site hotels may not offer the extra-special perks of Disneyland’s very own hotels. However, you really can’t go wrong choosing a nearby place to stay – with so many options, you can find everything from kid- and family-friendly hotels with plenty of space to play to luxurious spots to book a parents-only getaway.
Best of all, though, you can quickly compare Disney hotel prices with nearby hotel prices, walkability, and dining options to find just the right fit for your family’s wants and needs.
Disneyland’s Good Neighbor Hotels
Many, if not most, of the surrounding hotels near Disneyland are Good Neighbor Hotels. Good Neighbor Hotels are hotels that offer quality accommodations and are located near Disneyland Resort.
More than 50 hotels are part of Disneyland’s Good Neighbor Hotel program, giving you a lot of “preapproved” options. Some even offer room and ticket packages, which makes booking your visit a breeze. And though they’re not required to stick to any kind of set pricing, Good Neighbor Hotels are often reasonably priced (some include free breakfast, too!).
However, amenities at Good Neighbor Hotels can vary pretty widely. While you know exactly what to expect at an on-property Disneyland Resort hotel, what’s included with a stay at an off-site hotel will depend on the hotel chain, the room types offered, and the available amenities. Disneyland’s Good Neighbor Hotels do not have to offer shuttle service to the theme parks or include any specific amenities, so make sure to do your research before booking.
