June Disney World Crowds

by | Jun 3, 2024 | Crowd Calendars, Vacation Planning, Walt Disney World | 0 comments

Let’s talk about how rain can affect June Disney World crowds!  Sometimes, it might be tough to push through and carry on your in-park adventures in a torrential downpour… I’ve been there, you’ve been there, and we all know just how frustrating it can be when those dark clouds above us alter a previously perfect day.

The best thing we can do in that situation is to “just keep swimming!”  Yes, it might really feel like you’re swimming through the rain with just how feverishly it can come down, but if you can stay at the parks until after a storm passes, you’ll get to have even more fun when the crowds decrease (substantially).

Typically, June Disney World crowds (and temperatures) start to increase substantially throughout the month with summer vacation eventually being in full effect. For June 2024, we can also expect more crowds at the end of the month when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on June 28.

June Disney World Crowds

June is usually a fairly busy month at Disney World, and gets even busier as the month continues on.  There aren’t any big holidays in June to look out for (Father’s Day doesn’t have as much of an impact on crowds as Mother’s Day does).

How to Avoid June Crowds

As we discussed at the top of this page, battling through the rain can be extremely rewarding!  When many park guests are calling it quits for the day, you can benefit from shorter wait times and less congestion in the parks after the storm passes.

June Events

  • CommuniCore Hall & Plaza at EPCOT: Opening June 10
  • Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom: Opening June 28
  • Gay Days: These events, scheduled by GayDays.com, are attended by thousands who dress in red (and rainbow!) to celebrate the LGBTQ community. Though these gatherings aren’t officially sponsored/sanctioned by the Walt Disney Company, they’ve continued to grow even larger year after year.

The Best Time to Visit Disney World?

Wondering when is the best time to visit WDW? Of course, that really depends on you—your preferences, your schedule, and what’s on your must-do list. But, before booking your next vacation, check out our crowd calendars.
