Want to entertain the family for lunch or dinner? Head to Teppan Edo the next time you’re spending the day at EPCOT! Steak, chicken, seafood, and veggie-based entrées take center stage as part of the Teppan-yaki cooking experience, which takes place at your table.
If you’ve dined at – and enjoyed – your local Benihana, you essentially know what to expect at Teppan Edo. Here, diners are seated around a Teppan chef who expertly cooks traditional Japanese dishes, with some extra-special flair.
While the food may not be the most incredible within EPCOT, this is a table-service dining experience that’s sure to keep kids entertained (and off screens.)

Disney Dining Plan
Although Teppan Edo is both a meal and a dining experience in one, it’s not any different from your average table-service restaurant when it comes to the Disney Dining Plan. Here, you can use the Disney Dining Plan (but not the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan) and it’ll cost you one table-service meal credit per person for lunch or dinner.
Advance Dining Reservations
Like all other Disney World table-service restaurants, it’s recommended that you book an advance dining reservation (ADR) if you want to dine at Teppan Edo. Reservations can book up quickly once the 60-day window opens up, so plan accordingly.
Is Teppan Edo Kid-Friendly?
Teppan Edo is definitely kid-friendly – and family-friendly overall. While it is a bit “fancier” when it comes to the menu and the dining experience, it’s still a lot of fun for kids of different ages.
You’ll likely want to dine here with older, less picky kids since the menu does feature quite a few Japanese favorites and not much in the way of American-leaning fare for picky eaters. Kids age 5 and up will likely have a great time dining and watching the chefs in action. After all, who better to catch flying bites of food than happy-to-participate kids?
However, if you have littler diners in your party who’ve been to a restaurant like Benihana before and have done well, you’ll have no problem enjoying your meal at Teppan Edo.
