During your visit to Disney Springs, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to check out The Landing. As one of the four neighborhoods within Disney Springs, this is where you’ll want to head with the family if you love a good beach or lake day. With nautical-inspired theming, The Landing is designed to bring you right to the water’s edge.
Based on the fictional history of Disney Springs created by Disney’s Imagineers, The Landing is meant to be the town’s transportation hub and marina. So, don’t be surprised if you see some watercraft out on Lake Buena Vista as you peruse the shops and dine at restaurants! You’ll especially want to keep your eyes peeled for an Amphicar sighting (more on that later). Plus, many of the shops and dining establishments across The Landing are nautical in their theming.
If you frequented Disney Springs back when it was known as Downtown Disney (or even before then, back in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s), you might remember the area as Pleasure Island. The former club-filled nighttime entertainment district has been transformed, but even in its current iteration as The Landing, you’ll find plenty of fun for adults to be had here, from wine bars to speakeasies to the incredibly immersive Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar.
