The Landing at Disney Springs

During your visit to Disney Springs, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to check out The Landing. As one of the four neighborhoods within Disney Springs, this is where you’ll want to head with the family if you love a good beach or lake day. With nautical-inspired theming, The Landing is designed to bring you right to the water’s edge.

Based on the fictional history of Disney Springs created by Disney’s Imagineers, The Landing is meant to be the town’s transportation hub and marina. So, don’t be surprised if you see some watercraft out on Lake Buena Vista as you peruse the shops and dine at restaurants! You’ll especially want to keep your eyes peeled for an Amphicar sighting (more on that later). Plus, many of the shops and dining establishments across The Landing are nautical in their theming.

If you frequented Disney Springs back when it was known as Downtown Disney (or even before then, back in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s), you might remember the area as Pleasure Island. The former club-filled nighttime entertainment district has been transformed, but even in its current iteration as The Landing, you’ll find plenty of fun for adults to be had here, from wine bars to speakeasies to the incredibly immersive Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar.

Although the restaurants within The Landing at Disney Springs are tailored to adults, the entertainment within the neighborhood is actually full of options for kids!

Adults will enjoy the live entertainment offered at venues like Paradiso 37, Raglan Road, and The Edison, which can include musical performances, special events, and even mixology classes throughout the year.

For kids – or whole-family fun – The Landing is also home to Waterview Park, an outdoor space that hosts live music performances throughout the week and a DJ-led dance party on the weekend. You can also take a Vintage Amphicar Tour, setting sail out on Lake Buena Vista inside a car that drives like a boat (it’s really a one-of-a-kind experience!).

Lastly, for kids of all ages, the Disney Springs Kids Club at The Landing offers plenty to see and enjoy. This high-energy party-like entertainment offering takes place on Saturdays, and it features interactive experiences like the Flight Crew dance party, Wassalou Drum Circle, and games with DJ Katie “KD Queen” Beck.
