If you’re looking for a restaurant that offers food the whole family will eat and a unique Disney World dining experience, you can’t go wrong with Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café. This staple in Magic Kingdom is a quick-service restaurant that wins plenty of guests over – it’s simple, straightforward, and delivers food for even the pickiest of eaters.

What really makes Cosmic Ray’s special, though, is the theming. Designed to create an “out of this world” experience that’s at home in the land of the future, this restaurant is home to Sonny Eclipse and his Astro Organ. Sonny takes to the stage while diners enjoy their meals for a 25-minute act that includes invisible backup singers (the Space Angels) and eight different tunes.

The entertainment loop provided by Sonny plays day and night, ensuring you can catch the whole performance – or just part of it – when you stop in to grab a bite.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café Location

Cosmic Ray’s is located in Tomorrowland, but it’s a bit off to the side. You’ll find this popular quick-service restaurant on the border between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, right where the two come together next to the Mad Tea Party and Tomorrowland Speedway.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café Menu

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café serves lunch and dinner, and the menu is the same no matter the time of day you dine. However, it does have a bit of a unique ordering system compared to other Disney quick-service restaurants.

There are three bays, or areas, inside Cosmic Ray’s: Chicken (Bay 1), Burgers (Bay 2), and Sandwiches (Bay 3). Each one has a slightly different menu, and these menus can seem a bit slim at first glance. However, because the items vary from bay to bay, it does add up to a pretty solid amount of variety.

The sides, desserts, and drinks don’t vary from bay to bay, so you can order these from any spot within the restaurant.

Below, take a look at everything that’s on the menu at Cosmic Ray’s.

Disney Dining Plan

Cosmic Ray’s does accept the Disney Dining Plan, and it’ll cost you one quick-service meal credit to dine here on either version of the plan.

Advance Dining Reservations

Like all quick-service restaurants at Disney World, you cannot make an advance dining reservation (ADR) to dine here. No reservations are needed or offered.

Cosmic Ray’s does get pretty popular during peak mealtimes, but you can opt to place a Mobile Order if you’re hoping to avoid the lines.

Is Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café Kid-Friendly?

Cosmic Ray’s is spacious, offers plenty of room indoors (and many, many tables), making it a great pick for families looking for a break. Best of all, its status as a casual quick-service restaurant with a fairly basic menu makes it super kid-friendly.

You don’t have to worry about kids making noise here; the restaurant itself gets pretty chaotic during the busiest times of the day, so no one will think twice about hearing fussy, frustrated kids while dining.

Kids will also love watching Sonny Eclipse in the act as he performs in the dining room. However, if you have little ones who are sensitive to noise and other stimuli while dining, you may want to opt for a quieter area to dine or take your food outside to enjoy.
