Stay in the magic 24 hours a day at one of the Disney World Resort hotels. In fact, you can set up Disney Cruise Land and Sea Vacation Packages where your room key works both at Disney World and on your Disney Cruise.
Disney Cruise Line
In 1992, Disney announced they were going into the cruise business. The Disney Cruise Line is consistently on of the highest rated cruises and guests that have taken a cruise rave about the experience.
You can choose from several different itineraries to top off your Disney World Vacation. Currently there are 3 itineraries that depart from Port Canaveral. They are:
- 3-day Disney cruise
- 4-day Disney cruise
- 7-day Disney cruise
On a 3- or 4-day cruise, you will depart Port Canaveral on the Disney Dream for Nassau, Bahamas. Then the rest of the trip is spent relaxing at sea and on Disney’s private island called Castaway Cay.
The 7-day Disney Cruises on the Dream’s sister ship, the Disney Fantasy, you get to visit ports in the Eastern or Western Caribbean. During the holidays there are special cruises, including an 11 day cruise that goes all the way down in to the Southern Caribbean.
Combining a Disney Cruise and Disney World Vacation
Disney will happily combine your Disney Cruise Line and Disney World theme park vacations into a Land and Sea Vacation Package. For years, Disney actually sold a package called The Land and Sea Vacation. The package included upgraded rooms at a Disney World resort matching the level of your room on the ship. The combination made for a real convenient vacation at a premium price, but it didn’t allow for much choice in resorts.
Now you can add a Disney hotel and park tickets to your cruise ala carte. You can pick your resort and your ticket options. If you want, you can choose a top-level cabin and stay then stay in the Pop Century. Your vacation will be seamless. Your bags will magically appear in your cabin. Your room keys will never change. It’s all one convenient vacation.
